Launching Hideaway Cottage is a charmingly quaint ocean side cottage rental on Prince Edward Island's eastern shore. This seaside decorated cottage offers all the comforts of home as you relax on your PEI vacation.

Launching Hideaway is located down the Launching Harbour Road and offers visitors tranquility and quiet in the perfect hideaway. Take the walk down to the Harbour and cross the bridge where you will be delighted by a white sand beach.

The water front cottage rental sleeps 6 guests. The cottage has one bedroom with double bed, a double pull-out sofa in the den and plus a queen pull-out sofa in the living area. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, combined living room and dining area. To make your evenings more enjoyable there is a screened in porch with comfortable wicker furniture.

The community of Launching is only 25 minutes to Montague, the largest town in eastern PEI. Montague is where your amenities can be found; restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores, craft shops, hospital, churches, museum and tourist information, to mention a few.

The stairs to the beach in front of the cottage provide access to the water, where you can walk the shoreline for miles or just relax after a swim. Beach combing is one of islanders favorite past times - be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those take home treasures.

Area Information

Launching Hideaway Cottage is only 15 minutes from village of Cardigan; 20 minutes from the historical village of Georgetown and 25 minutes from the largest town in eastern PEI called Montague. The cottage is located along the scenic Points East Coastal Drive, PEI. All your amenities can be found close by; restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores, craft shops, hospital, churches, museum, and tourist information.

As you continue site seeing along the Points East Coastal Drive, eastern region the vistas are spectacular around every corner and it will bring you an appreciation of why islanders are so lucky to call Prince Edward Island home.

There are 50 + beaches in eastern PEI and the most famous is the “singing Sands”, Basin Head. Basin Head Beach is about 40 minutes from the cottage and worth the drive to hear the sands sing… You will encounter lighthouses, harbors and breathtaking vistas no matter which road you take.

Being in the eastern end of Prince Edward Island you will find may beautiful drives to explore. There are Heritage Roads that you should not miss… the red soil and green foliage is picture perfect for your memories of PEI.
