Ideally situated on a golden mile of sandy beach on the north shores of Prince Edward Island is the Cable Head Highlands Beach House. This thoughtfully appointed airy Beach House is oceanfront living at its finest. The layout of the house offers bedrooms on each end with kitchen and living room in between. The crowning glory of this island beach house rental is it's screened in deck facing the most spectacular views of the ocean.
Cable Head Highlands provides an open concept layout with living room, dining room and kitchen in the middle of the beach house, screened in deck and 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. You will enter the house viewing the living area then to the left the master bedroom offering a queen bed and ensuite. To the right of the living area are the other bedrooms. On each side of the hall there is a bedroom one with 2 twins facing the ocean and other offers a double and single bed. At the end of the hall is the 4 th bedroom with queen and the second bathroom.
Dining with a breathtaking view is what you will experience from the screened in the deck. Once you prepare the delicious island cuisine relax with a bottle of wine at the large table and comfortable chairs. The best is kept for the last…sunsets that will surley mesmerize you!
Beautiful Greenwich Park-- a Provincial treasure --is a very short drive from the Cable Head Highlands... The historic village of St. Peter's will entice you with its little shops, seafood fare, bike rentals and small community ambience. If you are a golfer then book a round at the well renowned Crow Bush 5 Star Provincial Golf Course. Charlottetown, the capital of Prince Edward Island is only 30 minutes from the beach house.

The Cable Head Beach is right out your door and minutes from the beach house is the Greenwich National Park. This park is best known for its spectacular white sand beaches and rare parabolic dune system. It is home to the endangered piping plover. Be sure to visit its amazing interpretative center, swimming area and nature trails along the beach, through forests and over boardwalks built through the freshwater pond behind the dunes.
The community of St. Peter’s Bay is minutes from the Ocean Dream Beach House where you will find small unique island shops, island cuisine and lovely Park to enjoy or find the entrance for the Confederation Trail. This part of the trail is one of the most scenic. You can rent bikes from a local shop or just stroll along and enjoy the island vista.
Morell is 10 minutes away and the home of a major processing facility for PEI black mussels, shipped all over the world. You can purchase these island delights and enjoy at the Ocean Dream.
If you are looking for elegant dining you are in luck the Inn at St. Peter’s Bay is minutes away and Inn at Bay Fortune with the famous chef Michael Smith is 20 minutes away. Cardigan, which is over toward Dundarave and Brudenell there is Clam Diggers who has great island seafood on the menu. You need to book months in advance to enjoy one of his island menus. Other food venues in the area are St. Peter’s Bay Rick’s Fish & Chips, Fryer’s, Hut, Lin’s Take Out which is excellent. Also, you are 30 minutes away from Charlottetown the capital of PEI where you can find everything.
If you are a golfer then you will think you are in paradise. The island has over 30 and 4 are 5 star. The best known to the Golf World is the Crowbush Golf Course and it is 15 minutes from the beach house. The Brudenell and Dundarave is over in the Montague area, the largest town in eastern PEI, they are 20 minutes away.
If you are interested in horseback riding along the shore the Brudenell Trail Riding is so over by the Dundarave and Brudenell golf courses. Deep-Sea fishing is a great way to catch your island dinner and see the beautiful red island shores. There are many deep-sea fishing harbours close to the beach house. If you want to tackle the giant Blue Fin Tuna then head to North Lake Harbour, the tuna capital of the world. Captains offer tuna fishing tours, deep-sea fishing, or just a relaxing sail.
Lighthouses still protect our island shores. The East Point Lighthouse is only 40 minutes from the house. At this lighthouse you can climb to the top and enjoy an incredible view of the island coast line. This is also where the St. Lawrence waters meet the Northumberland Strait and there is always seals playing in the surf. A windy day is a great day to visit the area and on site gift shop and café.
